该剧讲述了一个小男孩在十五年前险些被人贩子伤害，人贩子索要五百万赎金，但其父母在送赎金的路上发生车祸，未能及时赶到。人贩子气急败坏，想用打火机烧死小男孩，关键时刻一个路过的小女孩救了他。多年后，小男孩成为了总裁，一直在寻找当年救他的小女孩。。在Ben的家乡，多数受过良好教育的女性都离开那个小地方去大城市寻找幸福，这个事儿Ben觉得没所谓。但是他不明白为啥他的好朋友Mario以及Steffen却因为这个事儿特别不开心。Mario是个农场主，他因为自知长相平庸，于是努力做一个幽默的人以弥补外貌上的缺陷……Steffen是个专攻IT，但是目前处于失业状态，他害怕自己的女友Doreen也会离开自己去大城市，因而十分焦虑……。Six months have passed since Dr. Ogden moved to Buffalo and Det.
