A comic-book artist meets a woman on the NY streets, but after a quick flirtation, she suddenly collapses, and is picked-up by an old ambulance. He checks all the hospitals in the area, but the woman seems to have disappeared.。一個中年女子，必須面臨頑固的老母親逐漸失智、失去自理能力，卻仍固執不願搬離老宅而造成一系列的困擾。而失去記憶的母親，性格逐漸變的難以預料，甚至越來越發不像女兒記憶中的母親。一連串脫序的行為終於讓女兒心力交瘁，動了想要把這個徒留母親空殼，但她已經再也不認識的人送去安養院自生自滅的念頭。。
