Solaris (Russian: Солярис) is a 1968 TV film based on the 1961 novel Solaris by Stanisław Lem. It was written by Nikolay Kemarsky, directed by Boris Nirenburg and was a Central Television production. 4 years before Andrei Tarkovsky made his classic version of Stanislav Lem’s sci-fi novel Solaris there was this Russian TV version made by Boris Nirenburg and Lidiya Ishimbayeva.。Heaven is now happily married and ready to settle back in her hometown. But after a trip to Farthinggale Manor, Heaven is persuaded to stay. Lured by her grandfather to live amidst the wealthy and privileged Heaven seems to have it all until the ghosts of her past rise up once more, threatening her precious new life.。劇情重點講述回到精神病院的Norman Bates又給放了出來(究竟要放他出來多少次啊！)並跟精神病院女醫生結了婚，兩口子生活美滿，這一天Norman等待妻子下班慶祝他的生日，適逢電台正好播放著一個有關連續殺手及弒母病患的phone-in節目，促發他至電講述自己跟母親的關係，影片回朔到他的少年時期，如何謀殺母親和其情夫，以及如何開始殺害其他人的過程，到後來，他向主持人表白了自己今天想殺掉妻子的想法，因為她有了自己的骨肉，而他卻認定，瘋狂是遺傳的…。
