高洁（文咏珊饰）一直以来都将成为一名珠宝设计师作为自己毕生的梦想。在远赴南美矿场实习的过程中，高洁邂逅了名为于直（张铭恩饰）的男子，巧合的是，于直是国内首屈一指的金行盛丰金饰的继承人。 之后，高洁返回国内，但现实却远比想象中要苍白的多。高洁进入了盛丰金饰工作，然而，盛丰金饰专注于中国传统工艺首饰，收到西式珠宝品牌的冲击太大，整个企业都摇摇欲坠。见此情形，高洁果断成立了镶嵌组，主攻西式珠宝，又将中式配饰和西式珠宝相融合，在珠宝市场里开辟出了一片新的天地。在此期间，高洁和于直之间也碰撞出了浪漫的火花。。Framing StoryDr Martin (Robert Powell) arrives at a secluded asylum "for the incurably insane" to be interviewed for a job by the wheelchair-using, authoritarian Dr Lionel Rutherford (Patrick Magee).
