The story of Crypto Boy kicks off in Amsterdam East, where young deliveryman Amir dreams of a better future but gets no further than delivering orders for Burrito, his father Omar's outdated Mexican restaurant. Meanwhile, their neighbourhood is in the midst of complete gentrification. Convenience stores are being replaced by trendy coffee bars, sushi shops and fitness studios ...。神秘的妖怪客栈隐匿于繁华都市之中，唯有缘人方可造访。捉妖师上官扉夜因杀戮过多，被妖的怨念反噬困于客栈不老不死千年。为解除诅咒，上官扉夜被迫将失去记忆的前客栈之主东方照白带回客栈。与此同时，一些原本与二人有瓜葛的客人也陆陆续续来到客栈，他们或是心结未了，或是遗憾未消。在化解客人心中执念的同时，上官体会到了久违的人类情感，东方也逐渐改变了对妖的偏执看法。最终，两人联手击败罪魁祸首妖王，还世间安宁的同时，解开了二人千年前的误会，并在共同经历中重新爱上了彼此。。
