故事发生在繁华的大都市上海，阿霞（周文倩饰）的父亲（刘家桢饰）背叛了她的母亲（吕丽萍饰），母亲一怒之下决定离婚，并且带着阿霞离开了家。无处可去的母女两人只得选择投奔娘家。可是，阿霞的外婆（郑振瑶饰）是一个思想非常传统的女人，她坚定的认为离婚是一桩丑事，并且冷酷的将母女两人逐出门外。 之后，阿霞的母亲遇见了老李（孙海英饰），两人带着各自的孩子组成了新的家庭，遗憾的是，阿霞在这个新家里备受欺侮，完全没有获得任何的温暖，最终，这个家也不能待了。此时，阿霞的父亲回心转意，希望妻子能够原谅自己，和自己再续前缘，但是阿霞对于父亲失望透顶。。In 2016 filmmaker/photographer Pete McBride and writer Kevin Fedarko set out on a 750-mile journey on foot through the entire length of the Grand Canyon.
