本作は、9歳で失明し、18歳で聴力を失った東京大学の教授でバリアフリー研究者・福島智（ふくしまさとし）と、母・令子の実話をもとにした物語。智の幼少期から大学受験までの姿が描かれる。。丁志在火车站遇到了突然发病的陈风并将他送到医院，陈风得了肾衰竭，姐姐陈平为了给他筹集手术费去地下拉琴。丁志为了给自己的姐姐报仇进了看守所，他在电视上看到了陈平姐弟俩的故事被感动，于是找到他们愿意捐献自己的肾，并把姐姐托付给陈平照顾。。The Roman Empire occupied Britannia (Britain) for four centuries, providing protection and peace in exchange for submission.
