This story is based where the skateboard culture is the most foreign, the Midwest. Derrick Cabrera, like all skaters, has a dream of being sponsored and one day going pro. He is an up and coming skater with all the talent but has the world against him. Parents, friends and schoolmates can't understand how Derrick has so much passion for something that has no future in their eye...。1840年第一次鸦片战争后，清王朝陷入了内忧外患的境地，西方列强不断进行侵略和恫吓，1856年英法两国又发动了第二次鸦片战争，清王朝更是国力日衰。面对列强的威胁，朝廷中以恭亲王奕訢为首的改革派提出开展洋务运动，走富国强兵之路。1866年，以左宗棠、沈葆桢为代表的改革派和以慈禧太后、倭仁为代表的保守派进行了反复、激烈的斗争，他们顶住了来自各方的压力，克服了种种困难，终于在福州马尾建造了造船厂，开设了船政学堂，造出我国第一艘具有当年先进水平轮船，培养出我国第一代海军。。
