四个受过灵异训练的非专业演员，接受挑战到一鬼屋渡过一晚。在19世纪，此屋的女主人以利用各种酷刑虐待奴隶闻名。四人被锁在鬼屋內，亲眼目睹难以想像的恐怖场面……。德（阮兆祥）因生意失败，又眼见香港顺利回归中国，遂与妻美（郭少芸）从加国回流返港另谋发展，但因美性格泼辣，与德母娟（程可为）及家人相处极不融洽。 德父发（郭峰）有感家中地方挤迫，决把旧居出售，更把所得订金高息借予么女菲（腾丽名）男友健（谢天华）。唯健竟搭上菲邻居森（李克勤）之未婚妻琪（姚莹莹），更挟带私逃！菲和森本是冤家，但为追查二人另一半的下落，只好暂时放开成见。过程中，森与菲姐珠（梅小惠）结成好友，更间接撮合珠及其好友强（梁荣忠）。 后菲及森成功寻得健，琪亦重投森怀抱，但菲却发现自己不知不觉中已爱上森！此时，娟和美无意中发现发和德分别在外金屋藏娇，二人晴天霹雳，顿时不知所措……。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs. As a result of his body not being found the latter will have to wait for five years until they can inherit the count's money. Very upsetting indeed, all the more as they are required to keep up the Kéraudren estate in the meantime. To collect money, nephews and nieces organize a Son et Lumière show at the manor while busily looking for the missing corpse. But, unexpectedly, they get killed in turns. Murders or accidents? Jean-Marie, his fiancée Micheline and his cousin Edwige investigate and finally succeed in exposing the culprit. And, the count's body being found by chance, all goes back to normal.。
