Unfortunately, that progressive...。当小偷洗劫一个老妇人的房子，一个古老的精灵从灯里跑了出来。他们被杀了，灯被移到一个博物馆去研究。馆长的女儿很快就被精灵迷住了，邀请她的朋友和一些不速之客一起到博物馆过夜...。麦卡和乔是两个居住在旧金山的二十出头的非洲裔美国男女，一天早上，他们发现自己在同一张床上醒来，却怎么也想不起昨晚他们是怎么碰到的。他们互相介绍后，一起吃了顿早餐并一起乘坐出租车，然后互相告别。但乔将钱包落在了出租车里，麦卡只好去乔的家把钱包还给她，两人也由此产生了感情。。
